Our pricing process is simple. We charge by the square inch of the size of a painting. We charge $1.25 per square inch.  If you purchase a painting with a basic black floater frame, the additional cost of the frame will be $1.25 for each linear inch of the perimeter of the painting. 

For example, a 24 x 30 inch painting has an area of 720 square inches, and the perimeter is 108 inches. 

If you purchase the painting unframed, it would cost 720 x $1.25= $900.00 (not including tax, shipping and insurance)

If you purchase the painting framed, it would cost the $900 above, plus 108 linear inches x 1.25= $135.00 for the frame, for a total of $1035.00 (not including tax, shipping, and insurance)

Shipping costs depend on the size of the item being shipped, insurance, and sometimes weight can be a factor. Our paintings are lightweight but frames can be heavy and make the package bigger. 

Because of the additional cost of insuring a framed painting, we recommend having it shipped unframed, and you can have the piece framed locally. We can also recommend some online frame shops that we use frequently. Paintings are finished with the sides of the canvas painted in a solid color, usually black or a dark color. Thicker canvases can be hung without a frame if that is your preference. All paintings come with basic hanging hardware and wire already installed. 

In the city of Fort Collins, as of January 1, 2024 the total sales tax is 8.05%, which includes Colorado State sales tax of 2.9%, Larimer County Sales tax of 0.8%, and City of Fort Collins sales tax of 4.35%. If you purchase a painting from anywhere in the U.S. outside the city of Fort Collins, you will be charged sales tax based on the tax rates in the jurisdiction where we are shipping to.
